A free, on-device app
ContactFlow is published by Alexandre LACOSTE. This version is free, with no in-app purchases, advertising or user account. Contact review and duplicate detection take place on your device.
Contacts access
With your iOS permission, ContactFlow reads the contacts you allow it to access so you can view, organize and merge them. Depending on available fields and iOS permissions, this may include names, phone numbers, email and postal addresses, photos, birthdays, relationships and notes. Moving a contact to the in-app trash does not delete it from your address book. Permanent deletions and merges require your confirmation.
Data stored on your device
The app keeps a local database of review sessions, contact identifiers, names and contact summaries, decisions, dates, comparison fingerprints and duplicate groups. It also keeps vCard backups of deleted or merged contacts so they can be restored. A vCard may contain contact fields accessible to the app. A local preference remembers whether you completed the introduction.
Transmission and synchronization
ContactFlow does not send your contacts or history to any publisher server or analytics service. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDK. System services operate independently: depending on your settings, iOS may synchronize your address book with iCloud or other accounts and include app data in device backups. Contact changes may therefore appear on your other devices.
Retention and deletion
Local data and vCard backups have no automatic expiry and remain while the app’s data is kept on the device. “Start the review over” clears review decisions and the temporary trash but keeps deletion and merge backups. To erase all local ContactFlow data, delete the app in iOS Settings; offloading it is not enough. This does not restore or delete address book contacts. Copies in system backups are managed separately through the relevant service.
Your control
You can deny or revoke contacts access in iOS Settings and, on supported versions, limit access to selected contacts. Revoking permission does not erase backups already created in the app. Features requiring the address book are unavailable while access is denied. This policy remains available without permission and offline.
Diagnostic logs
The app’s system logs may contain technical information, such as a loaded contact count or an error code, but not names, phone numbers, email addresses or contact contents. ContactFlow does not send telemetry to a third-party service. Diagnostics shared with Apple follow your system settings.
